Dr. Dahl has been in private practice since graduation with an emphasis in orthopedic surgery. He utilizies techniques such as hybrid external fixation, dynamic compression plates, and traditional rod/screw implant stabilization to achieve proper bone healing for orthopedic patients. He has completed advanced training in fracture repair techniques.
He is a member of several professional organizations, including state and national Veterinary Medical Associations. His other areas of interest include medical informatics and incorporating digital medical technologies into the practice. Dr. Dahl has established the use of state-of-the-art digital instrumentation and computerized medical records to enhance patient care at Clarksville Veterinary Clinic.
Dr. Andrea Redd joined Clarksville Veterinary Clinic in May of 2006. Following graduation from West Forsyth High School in Winston-Salem, NC, she attended North Carolina State University where she completed undergraduate studies, graduated Cum Laude, and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology/Pre-Veterinary Medicine in 1993. She attended North Carolina University-College of Veterinary Medicine for post-graduate veterinary studies and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from NCSU-CVM in June of 1997.
Dr. Redd has been in private mixed animal practice since graduation from veterinary school, and has experience in both relief and emergency veterinary medicine. She is a member of both the Virginia and North Carolina Veterinary Medical Associations, as well as the national AVMA.
Her special interests include cardiology, using advanced technology such as echocardiography and electrocardiography, and exotic animal medicine. Dr. Redd also had an article published in Veterinary Economics magazine and a story published in Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul book. She lives in Virgilina, VA with her husband and two sons.
Dr. Andrea Kellum is a 2006 graduate from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterianry Medicine. She is a new associate veterinarian and adds a wealth of the most up-to-date medical principles to Clarksville Veterinary Clinic. She holds a bachelor's degree in Animal Science also from Virginia Tech.
Her animal care experience is vast, having been employed as a Student Technician at the VMRCVM Large Animal Hospital and participating in advanced equine and bovine medicine and surgery procedures. She also enjoyed five years of veterinary assistant experience in private mixed animal practice. Her past time since childhood has been riding and and training horses. She currently has two Tennessee Walking Horses and a clan of four dogs to keep her busy at home.
Dr. Kellum is a member of both the Viriginia and American Veterinary Medical Associations. She has participated in an international volunteer program providing veterinary services to the Dominican Republic. She has served as a 4-H Leader for the Greene County Horse Club and enjoys helping educate the public about animal care.
