Our cabins

Whether you call them cabins, cottages, lodges or chalets, each of our six dwellings are two-story A-frames with central air conditioning and heat, private deck with built-in picnic table, charcoal grill, fireplace, satellite TV, VCR, CD/Tape Player, full bathroom with shower and tub, and a full-size kitchen complete with all utensils, cookware, dishes, appliances, microwave oven and coffee maker.


The Lake House

The Little Retreat's biggest and best with a beautiful lakefront view. This 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom lakefront house has a few perks the other cabins don't, such as a washer and dryer, dishwasher, two full bathrooms, and two living rooms to give everyone plenty of space.

Rates:
$795 per week (Sunday - Saturday -- accepted any time)
$395 for a 3-night stay (any 3 consecutive nights -- accepted only within 3 weeks of arrival date)

Off-Season rates: (Labor Day Monday thru March 31)
$495/weekly
$295/2 nights
$100/additional nights

    • The Getaway

    Our most popular unit, the Getaway is a double-loft cabin with a terrific lakefront view, and has a queen-size bed in the upper loft and two full-size beds in the lower loft.

    Rates:

  • $595 per week (Monday-Sunday or Friday-Thursday)
  • $125 per weeknight

    Off-Season rates: (Labor Day Monday thru March 31)
  • $395/weekly
  • $180/weekend
  • $90/additional nights

    Specifications:

  • 2-Night Minimum

    • The Chalet

    The Chalet is a single-loft cabin that is closest to the water, so you can gaze out at the lake and get the impression you're all alone. Has two full-size beds in loft overlooking the living room and a twin rollaway bed downstairs.

  • $540 per week (Monday - Sunday or Friday - Thursday)
  • $110 per night

    Off-Season rates: (Labor Day Monday thru March 31)
  • $350/weekly
  • $170/weekend
  • $85/additional nights

    Specifications:

  • Maximum Occupancy - 5 people
  • 2-Night Minimum
  • Weekend bookings accepted only within 3 weeks of arrival date.

  • Open year-round.

    Note: You can see on the layout below that the Chalet is connected to the Lake House by an extended deck/walkway, but there is a gate separating the two, so you don't have to worry about someone thinking your deck is part of theirs.

    • Fishermen's Hideout

    This double-loft cabin has a futon in the living room in addition to a sofa, for those who want to bring 5 or 6 guys but don't want to share a bed. Like the Getaway, Fishermen's Hideout has a queen-size bed in the upper loft, and two full-size beds in the lower loft, as well as a twin rollaway bed downstairs. While you can see parts of the lake through the trees, it is not a lakefront cabin.

    • Garden Cottages

    These single-loft cabins are the ones set farthest back from the water (somewhere around 100 yards or less), although you can see parts of the lake from both of them. The Garden Cottages have everything the other loft cabins have, they just offer a little more exercise to those coming up from the lake.

    • We have a private dock that you're welcome to fish from, or keep your boat moored at for no extra fee. There is a public boat ramp less than a mile away. Unfortunately, our dock is not equipped with electric hook-ups since the Army Corps of Engineers does not allow electricity along the shores of Buggs Island Lake. Those of you with batteries that need recharging will need to do so at your cabin or in the boat/trailer/overflow parking area.
